Using Succulents In The Garden

The Family Garden Club of Englewood will hold the third meeting of their 2018-2019 season on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. The meeting will be held in the second floor conference room at the Elsie Quirk Library starting at 10:00am. Our speaker will be Ray Lemieux who will talk about “Using Succulents in the Garden.” During the presentation Ray will be discussing which succulents work best in Florida and how to propagate and plant them for the most successful display in your Florida Garden.
Ray is the long-time succulent grower at Tropiflora located at 3530 Tallevast Rd, Sarasota, FL in Sarasota. He is the most knowledgeable person at the nursery on terrestrial bromeliads and succulents. He always had a serious interest in plants and has been a collector for more than 15 years. Ray has traveled to Venezuela, Mexico, Madagascar and Singapore in search of plants and has helped Tropiflora build a world class succulent collection. He is the past president of the Sarasota Bromeliad Society and is a current member of numerous succulent organizations. More information about Tropiflora is available at www.tropiflora.com.
A coffee social will follow this meeting and you will have the opportunity to meet other attendees and club members. Please feel free to joins us. Everyone is welcome.
